In September 2000, as the first university background venture capital fund in south-central China, Wuhan Huagong Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (HUSTVC) was established. Having been through repeatedly the rise and fall of China venture capital industry, we always persist in venture business, and formed our own fund management model featured by its four basic operation rings of ¡°investment, management, exit and financing¡±. Currently, we are managing a total capital of RMB110 million, and have made over 20 investments all over China, among which half of them have been exited. Among these successful investment cases, we are proud of the cases like Tianyu Information and Xiwang Bio, and they found their own strategic partners of Sagem, France, and Cargill, US, respectively, which also means exits of our investments. With the success and maturation of our first fund, we strategically decided to internationalize and expand our team and our new fund, which means we are pursuing the internationalization of our management structure, investment cooperation, and team growth, and pursuing the expansion of our fund, pipeline and investment exit. Presently, we have set up partnership with quite a number of venture capitals, agents, governmental service organizations from Europe, Australia, and America. We are willing to contact widely individuals and organizations, to seek to set up more new venture capital funds, to seek profound cooperation on individual project investment, and to share with both the overseas and Chinese investors the achievement of Chinese economy high speed growth. In 2006, we successfully planned and raised ¡°Wuhan Optics Valley Venture Fund¡± (OVVF) of RMB100 million. The setup and operation of OVVF means opportunities and as well as challenges for the whole team, but at the same time what we see is the vigor and vitality raised from the team. Sticking to our philosophy of ¡°excellence, teamwork, efficiency and win-win¡±, relying on our professionals and experiences, we are ready to create a glorious future with the joint effort of those, both home and abroad, who are willing to devote themselves to the great course of Chinese venture capital.
